Exercising in Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang.

Victory! After conquering the pagoda & claiming the reward

Penang, The Pearl of Orient is one of my favorite states in Malaysia. Reasons are finger licking cuisine and beautiful attraction places.

It's very normal to balloon up like I normally experience during my stay in Penang. My suggestion is to do some exercising while sightseeing in Penang. Let me share with you my "exercising" experience in Kek Lok Si Temple.

Kek Lok Si Temple is a famed tourist landmark in Penang. It has magnificent and imposing statue of Kwan Yin, also known as "Goddess of Mercy" standing gracefully in the middle of the hill.

In order to get some good exercise, park your car at the bottom of the hill. Then, walk your way up along the steps leading to the temple. The best part is that you could do some souvenirs shopping while exercising along the way up to the temple. The first part of exercising is as easy as ABC, you will not even feel tired!

As I remember vividly, there's a tortoise pond before you reach the entrance of Kek Lok Si Temple. Although, there's some unpleasant smell coming out from the pond, do try to ignore it. Instead you could buy some "kang-kung" leaves to feed the tortoises. There you will notice some of the tortoises have outgrown its counterpart.

As you continue your journey up the stairs, you will reach the entrance to the temple. After paying the entrance fees, you could do more exercising while marveling the magnificent structure and vast complex of the temple.

By the time you reach the top of the hill, you might feel a bit tired. However, do keep up with the good work. If you are a fan of The Biggest Loser series air in Astro, there?s always reward for those that do their workout.

At the top of the hill, you will notice a white pagoda structure. Just for fun, imagine this?.

Your task as one of the Bigger Loser's participant is to climb up those stairs to claim your reward. Want to know how to claim your reward? Easy, get your butt up those stairs!

Walking down to the car park is fairly easy and rewarding. There's always the sense of victory and awe when I managed to conquer the hill.

Do you want to know what I will do next?

Hi..hi, I will stop for a bowl or two of delicious Penang Assam Laksa at the foothill of Kek Lok Si Temple!

Do you think it will jeopardize my chance to win the? Bigger Loser?? Emm..maybe, but I could always do more workout later. Right now I am thirsty and starving!
