Penang Buses Schedules

Many choices of buses to enjoy our scenery by land ride

Some of our commonly taken Penang buses schedules are written down here for your fast reference.
Buses are the most convenient transport in Malaysia. In any part of the Malaysia, there is always a bus moving. The only snag is if it is a remote place, then I agree with you the timing of schedules must be triple check before you embark.

Searching for buses to:

  • Singapore to KL
  • Singapore to and fro Malacca
  • Penang to KL, Penang to Singapore
  • LCCT to Ipoh and Teluk Intan
  • Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur and Penang
  • Kuala Lumpur to and fro Hatyai (Haadyai)

There are two venues, most buses would pick up their passenger. In Penang, it is in Sungai Nibong bus terminal. The Butterworth bus station is nearby to the train station too.

Time frame for traveling by bus

The Penang/Butterworth to Kuala Lumpur trip would have you sitting or sleeping for 4 to 5 hours before you reach Pudu Raya or Jalan Duta Bus Terminal.

But Penang/Butterworth to Ipoh trip is much more comfortable as it takes approximately 2 to 3 hours in a whiz of a nap.

And the Penang/Butterworth to Lumut trip takes roughly 3 to 4 hours. The schedule and timing can be a little challenging though.

Penang/Butterworth to Johore would take 7 to 8 hrs before you reach Larkin Bus station.

Whereas we prefer Penang/Butterworth to Beach Road (S'pore) by night bus where we can sleep most of hte way and reach around 7am which takes about 8 to 9 hrs.

Beside Penang buses schedules, I furnish you other buses which are available in only some states in Penang or Malaysia. Check out their web site for more updated information as Penang buses schedules does not post them.
